In 1930, my greatgrandparents purchased a beautiful farm in Bradford County, PA, in a little hamlet called French Azilum. In the summer, we spent time there, resting, breathing in the fresh air, enjoying the wild flowers, the bright stars and planets on a clear moonlit night, and swimming in the Susquehanna River. If gas drilling is allowed to continue, Bradford County and all of Pennsylvania will be forever changed, ruined beyond repair.

Drilling Mud Truck and Car Collide in Susquehanna County, PA: One Fatality
John Jones, age 57, was killed in this accident. He had at least two children.

Did you say that there was a sample of the "mud" taken? The DEP/gas company were being so careful to not cause alarm. The clean-up guys didn't have on hazmat suits. Another front garden gone. I hope that they don't find out later that it was a bit more toxic than they claimed- AFTER clean-up crews start getting sick and the homeowners have unexplainable symptoms.Of course, they'll claim innocence and throw a small chunk of change to "help". She was right, too, about the walking hazards. I wouldn't really want to walk the loop- ESPECIALLY with the morning fog, which could make me invisible to frack trucks.That video kind of proved that there's at least one trucker who on occasion drives on the wrong side of the road. We have seen one take out a front garden in a few seconds- firsthand. The gas company SAYS that drilling is safe in PA. Well, with all of these "OOPSIES" and now a death, it seems that drilling takes a toll on the area. The homeowner said they are going to remove a lot of soil from his yard and replace it and put down new lawn. Well, that fact speaks volumes- why are they taking the time and energy to cart dirt away if it is "NON-TOXIC"? That, coupled with the toxic odor of the mud, screams that the gas company knows something they aren't telling. Well, it won't be the first or last time that THAT has happened!I do not believe that these homeowners, had they known the full extent of the pollution horrors and inability to deal with the toxic waste in PA, would have chosen this activity for their hometowns. There goes the trout stream in one fell swoop! There goes the front garden! There goes the father of at least two children...
