DEP officials said they are working with Talisman Energy and "are trying to find a way to stop this from happening again."
Is this the joke of the day? Trying to find a way to stop this from happening again? How about closing down Talisman Energy until they can operate safely? Wouldn't that work?

Yes, we have to be careful, lest we make the gas companies mad. Then they might leave and go somewhere else where people are nicer and let them do what they want.
Yes Peacegirl they have. Eastern Canada is under attack. You have not seen weak-kneed government until you meet our corporation asskissing ministers. Oh tough as nails on civilains,unless we are in large numbers. Problem is O&G attacks small villages where population is small and just want to live the simple & healthy life.
Anonymous- Yes, American corporations are in charge in the US, too. Politicians are well paid off and vote accordingly. And also, as you said, the rural areas, the small villages and hamlets, suffer the most and are most vulnerable. Big Oil is a fierce and heartless opponent.
